    "abstract": "The “Zoomar” lens is a varifocal objective for motion picture cameras which achieves the change of focus by the linear movement of a single barrel. The new feature of this lens consists of the principle of changing the focal length of the system by one group of lens components without consideration of the displacement of the image plane, while a second lens component, rigidly coupled to the first by the common barrel, compensates for this displacement.",
