    "abstract": "Taking motion pictures of celestial phenomona that show change is not as simple as it would first appear. Work on spectroheliokinematography was started in 1928, and in 1931 the instrumentation was donated to the University of Michigan by the founders of the McMath-Hulbert Observatory. The combined tower telescope and spectroheliokinemalograph of this observatory. now one of the most powerful pieces of solar apparatus in the world, is described and some of the solar data obtained with it are discussed.",
