    "abstract": "A back-pack camera system with communications equipment has been proven effective in color-casts of the 1968 political conventions and remote sporting events. In choosing the optimum design for such a system many trade-off factors were considered. Choices of color coding in the portable camera for best transmission over the RF link were considered. The selection of suitable RF frequencies and bandwidths became a key factor of the preliminary study. The choice of number and size of sensors and the selection of a compatible optical system were also important. The system, as constructed, provided color pictures of acceptable broadcast quality and supported the design decisions.",
