    "abstract": "A report of the Scientific Committee of the Research Council of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Hollywood, California, May 18, 1936. Whereas excessive skepticism held the minds of those in the industry some years ago when sound was about to be introduced into the picture, now, in the case of television, instead of disbelief, we have excessive credulity. The report discusses briefly a few of the factors that would be involved upon the introduction of television, and concludes with the statement that there appears to be no danger that television will burst unexpectedly upon an unprepared motion picture industry.",
