    "abstract": "A tutorial review of silver-recovery methods includes the chemical methods of precipitation, metallic replacement and ion exchange as well as the electrolytic methods employing either low or high current density levels. Various methods of solution agitation in electrolytic cells are described and illustrated with existing units. A survey of present-day silver recovery systems in five commercial motion-picture laboratories indicates that silver recovery should be considered an important element in the proper economic management of any processing laboratory.",
