    "abstract": "The Independent Broadcasting Authority is at present testing a system for information broadcasting using binary-coded data in the vertical interval of the television signal. At the receiver, individual “pages” of information may be selected from the fifty different pages available in the present trial system. The information is then stored and may subsequently be displayed continuously. It is expected that the service would eventually be used for information such as weather forecasts and stock prices. The present system allows for the transmission of simple graphics and further extensions to the facilities are envisaged.",
