    "abstract": "At the present time, both iconoscopes and image orthicons are employed in monochrome television broadcasting for transmission of motion picture film. The theoretical considerations of such operation have been covered quite thoroughly in the literature, while the many practical problems have received very little attention. A discussion of the correlation between the basic theoretical problems of television motion picture film pickup and their practical solutions as presently employed in television broadcasting is given.",
