    "abstract": "The biological principles of auditory localization as related to stereosound reproduction are discussed. The human head carries two laterally-attached, biological sound receivers and the conduction of sound within these receivers, their position and the role of the skull in the sound field are also discussed. The attributes of the acoustic signal relevant to sound localization and the role of the central nervous system in the integration of binaural auditory stimulation are described. The factors of experience and training are stressed.",
