    "abstract": "This article describes the current status of electronic post-production for single-camera productions, particularly those originating on film. The realities of videotape production and post-production are disclosed by examination of the equipment and procedures used. The enthusiasm of producers, tape facilities, and engineers for the new technology can only be made productive by matching technical realities with production needs in a systems approach; otherwise the gap between film and tape will be widened.",
