These effects were studied by means of three different series of experiments. The first experiment series evaluated the subjectively induced tilt angle of the observer's coordinate axes when presented with a tilted stimulus display pattern. The second experiments were to determine the observer's eye and head movements for information acquisition when presented with a visual wide-field display. The third series of experiments was to determine, by means of a subjective 7-step evaluation scale, the viewing conditions under which the display induces a sensation of reality in the observer.
