    "abstract": "Motion pictures are not realizable as such until they are perceived by the brain through the eye. The manner in which the eye operates is dealt with, particularly those functions having to do with perceiving objects as solids. The intelligent employment of motion picture taking equipment now in use, in making it conform to the requirements of the eye, can result in an important contribution to three-dimensional perception from the screen. Some 15 aids in promoting the illusion of depth are dealt with in this paper.",
