    "abstract": "Most of the distortions perceived in stereoscopic pictures are caused by false perspective. False perspective cannot be corrected by variation of the camera interaxial separation. Parallax movements, which result from head movements in ordinary experience, are lacking in stereoscopic pictures, and are replaced by perverse twists of the scene. This lack is felt as a real shortcoming of stereoscopic motion pictures, and is best masked by frequent movement of the camera during shots.",
